Why Nina for SNMA
Leadership grounded in service. Strategy guided by data. Excellence driven by purpose.

Why I'm Running
SNMA is more than an organization — it is a movement. It is the heartbeat of URiM medical education, the space where future physicians find belonging, build community, and develop the courage to lead. I am running for National President-Elect because I believe that SNMA deserves a leader who doesn't just understand the challenges our members face, but one who has lived them and worked tirelessly to change them.
From my roots as the firstborn daughter of Nigerian immigrants to my journey through Harvard and now NYU Grossman School of Medicine, every step of my path has been shaped by the belief that opportunity should not be a privilege — it should be a right. I have spent years building programs, advocating on national stages, and mentoring students because I know what it means to navigate a system that wasn't built for us.
My H.E.A.R.T. platform is not just a set of policy proposals — it is a commitment. A commitment to Harness Equity & Access, Empower Members, Advance Accountability, Reinforce Research & Development, and Thrive Through Service & Partnerships. These are not abstract ideals. They are actionable steps rooted in the real needs of students at every stage of their medical journey.
I am ready to lead with purpose, serve with heart, and build a future where every SNMA member has the resources, representation, and support they deserve.
